Newborn Photo Sessions...

What is the ideal time to book my newborn session?

The earlier you secure a penciled in date with a deposit, the better. As I take limited newborns per month to allow for babies who may come earlier or later then their given due date. Generally under the 12 day mark is the ideal time when baby is extra curly and sleepy. I tend to aim between that 5 - 8 day mark. After 2 weeks baby tends to be awake a majority of your session and starts to stretch out a lot more.

Can parents and siblings take part in the photo session?

Yes 100%,  I would need to be updated on how many children and their ages and number of adults taking part in photos. This would help me prep your photo session with more ease, when planning and allows for a correct quote.

What do we wear or bring to our session?

When you confirm and lock in a penciled photo session date, I email through a suggestion of tips to help prepare yourselves or baby for your photo session. Just so you know to expect. There is also a checklist I email through as well that may come in handy. Bare in mind these are only suggestions and helpful insights, at the end of the day babies tend to have a mind of their own, on how they are feeling on the day.

How long will my session take?

Your session can take between 1.5 - 2.5 hours to allow for feeding and changing. I like to try set the atmosphere quite relaxed and comfortable. And the pace of our session is determined by baby.

My baby is already born, am I too late to book a session?

If I have availability to accommodate I would love to. I tend to get booked in advance for newborn sessions so I would need to check my calendar. I also really love to take newborn photos max 12 days after giving birth, after that some of the most adorable poses are not so easy to achieve.

Maternity Photo Sessions...

When is the ideal time to take pregnancy photos?

Generally 28 - 36 weeks is the best, but every mama is different. If your baby bump is showing we can do our photo session. What I suggest is secure a date between 32 - 36 weeks in advance and just monitor how your belly is tracking. 

Why invest in professional hair and make up?

Professional hair and make up do make a difference, or if your comfortable doing your own make then that is totally fine you. Sometimes it just might be nice to treat yourself on the day to get dolled up.

Can I include my partner or other children?

Yes you can. There may be an extra cost depending on how many extra and the childrens ages. If you wanted a Pasifika attired theme, please let me know your nationalities and if you also have any cultural attire yourselves that can be included as I have a limited wardrobe. Then we can discuss and plan options from there.

Cake Smash Photo Session...

Do you supply cakes?

At this stage I recommend you bring your own buttercream cakes as there are many children with allergies and feel safer if you can bring this yourselves. Please try avoid chocolate flavoured cake.

Do you supply attire for a cake smash?

Yes I do, I suggest you bring a couple of dark items to wear under what hey wear. Something to cover their nappy incase seen in some images. If you also have some items you may like to include in our session please take a photo and send it to me so I can arrange to slot this in prior to our session.

Can I order a size smaller or lager then an A3 size?

At this stage I recommend not going smaller then an A3 size as it tends to look quite busy. A3 is a descent size to stand back and really take in your final art piece, your family portraits being displayed in a unique way.

Do you offer framing?

I have 3x basic frame colour's to offer for A3 sized prints. White, beige or black. These carefully crafted prints can easily be removed from

Frame if you decide to custom frame yourself. I recommend not framing with glass to really take in the unique final texture of product.

Do you ship anywhere else then just Australia and New Zealand?

At this stage I only offer in these locations. If you are really interested in an order outside of Aus/N.Z, please email through and I can possibly work out the shipping cost for you.

What care do I need to take to account with these prints?

Please handle with care. Avoid product being displayed in direct sunlight to prevent any fading over time. Please avoid running fingers continuously over the product to avoid effecting the final image. And can lightly dust with a feather duster if any build up of dust.

I sent the wrong portrait/artwork, what do I do?

If you discover you've sent the wrong artwork get in touch urgently within 5 hours of you order being placed. Email with heading 'Attention incorrect image' to contact@newwayphotography.com.au

If we haven't printed your job we will put it on hold until we receive new artwork from you. Unfortunately, if the job's already processing then its too late.
